Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Adelaide Olu Groups Ltd, the operator of Ting & Things. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or using the app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has permitted your use and agrees to supervise it. You must be legally capable of entering into these terms.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. One account is for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise.
4. The service
Ting & Things provides meal-planning tools, recipes, shopping support and AI-generated suggestions. Features may change as we improve the service. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, error-free or suitable for every user.
5. AI and food safety
Some content is generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable. Ting & Things is not a medical, dietetic or emergency service. You must independently check ingredients, allergens, portions, food-storage guidance, cooking temperatures and suitability for your circumstances. The AI & Food Disclaimer forms part of these terms.
6. Subscriptions and free trials
Premium features may require an auto-renewing subscription. The price, billing interval, trial period and renewal terms shown in the App Store or Google Play purchase screen at the time of purchase apply. Our intended launch offer is a 7-day free trial, followed by £5.99 per month, with an annual option intended at £59.99 per year; however, the store purchase screen is the definitive offer and may reflect local pricing, taxes or later changes.
Please read our Subscription Terms.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deleting the app or your Ting & Things account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
Apple or Google normally handles payments and refund requests under its own rules. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm others;
- attempt to bypass security, subscription checks or usage limits;
- introduce malware, overload the service, scrape it at scale or interfere with its operation;
- reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it;
- copy, sell or commercially exploit our content or service without written permission;
- submit content that infringes rights, is abusive, dangerous or unlawful;
- use AI outputs as a substitute for professional medical or allergy advice.
9. Your content
You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You give us a limited, worldwide licence to host, process, transmit, reproduce and adapt that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and provide requested AI functionality. You confirm that you have the right to submit the content.
10. Our intellectual property
The app, branding, design, software, original written content, graphics and other materials supplied by us are owned by or licensed to Adelaide Olu Groups Ltd and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you only a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the app.
Individual AI outputs may not always qualify for intellectual-property protection and may resemble outputs provided to others. We do not promise exclusivity in AI-generated content.
11. Third-party services
The app depends on services including Apple, Google, Supabase, Rork, OpenAI, Firebase and RevenueCat. Their terms and privacy practices may also apply. We are not responsible for a third-party service beyond what applicable law requires.
12. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security risks, non-payment, unlawful activity or a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
13. Availability and changes
We may update, discontinue or replace features. We will try to avoid materially reducing a paid service during a prepaid period without a reasonable remedy, subject to legal, security or technical necessity.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, losses caused by your failure to check AI or food information, or business losses arising from consumer use of the app. The app is intended for personal and domestic use.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and may be entitled to bring proceedings in your home courts.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for legal, security, service or business reasons. We will post the new version and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means the updated terms apply, except where separate consent is required.
